Aurifil's Re-fil organic cotton awarded among the excellences of Made in Italy at the Milan Fashion Global Summit 2024
On October 22, 2024, during the Milano Fashion Global Summit, the #ValueChainAwards award ceremony was held, featuring the excellence of Made in Italy, including Re-fil, the organic embroidery cotton by Aurifil, a company of the Auriga group.
In this 6th edition, the #MilanoFashionGlobalSummit award emphasized the value of the fashion supply chain, taking the name of #ValueChainAwards.

The award ceremony was divided into 6 categories, including Education, Growth, Connecting Minds, Green Chain, Artisanal Excellence, Best Innovation, and assigned to companies and protagonists of the Made in Italy supply chain.

For the Green Chain category, Aurifil was awarded for having created the biologic cotton Re-fil. This product allows embroiderers and manufacturing companies the possibility to use embroidery thread consistent with the sustainable content of the rest of the product, thus allowing the subsequent reuse and recycling of the fabric.

Re-fil, the 100% organic embroidery cotton from Aurifil, is an excellent product made in Italy. It is composed of an extra-quality of Egyptian Makò cotton with long fibers that ensures the same performance as traditional embroidery cotton combined with a totally sustainable and GMO-free core.

"Re-fil is an embroidery cotton that guarantees respect for the environment, refinement and durability, typical of production in the luxury and high-fashion sector.

We are highly convinced that embroidery, as an integral part of the garment, must contribute to closing the circle of sustainability.

For this reason, Re-fil also allows the reuse and recycling of fabrics, making the garment entirely sustainable, from start to finish."
The awards revealed during the ceremony in the Torre Velasca in Milan were decreed by a prestigious jury composed of management members of the following companies and institutions: Unic-Conce-rie italiane, Lineapelle, Camera nazionale della moda italiana, Antonio Marras, Confindustria accessori moda, Pitti Immagine, Intesa Sanpaolo, Teha-The European House Ambrosetti, Class Tv Moda, Gentle-man, MF Fashion.
